Welcome to the Middle Tennessee Suzuki Association!
MTSA Membership supports the Suzuki music education community, links area Suzuki studios, sponsors Honor’s Recitals, additional performing opportunities, such as Play-Downs & NSO Free Day of Music, sponsors an annual Fall Violin Workshop, provides Teacher and Parent Enrichment Seminars and awards scholarships for students, families and Suzuki teachers in the Middle TN area. The MTSA promotes the educational philosophy of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki. Join us as we Nurture through Music.
MTSA teacher members had the chance to sharpen their skills during the online teacher enrichment seminar “Teaching with an Open Heart”, presented by Ed Kreitman on June 6-7th. 16 of our 32 teacher members attended. It was a great way to get some fresh teaching ideas!
On June 9, 2020, the SAA hosted a second Listening Forum on Racial Inequities in the Suzuki Community. Over 430 people attended this second forum.
There is still much work to be done. Here is a link to the SAA Board statement and the Michelle Higa George Memorial Fund.
