STUDENT NOMINATING PROCEDURES:
1. Teacher emails committee to nominate UP TO THREE STUDENTS, IN ORDER OF PREFERENCE (INCLUDE PERFORMANCE PIECE), DUE JANUARY 6th, 2022.
Criteria: Committed student(s) who practice consistently and work hard for high achievement, regardless of level (Pre-Twinkle, Intermediate or Advanced).
2. Committee will notify teachers regarding how many of their nominated students will have the opportunity to perform (based on recital length) by JANUARY 20th, 2022.
*By accepting the teacher's nomination, student, parents & guests, agree to attend the ENTIRE recital, staying to the end, out of respect for ALL performers.
**REHEARSAL with the recital accompanist is Friday, February 4th, 2022.
REHEARSAL/FEE: Rehearsal with the piano accompanist PRIOR to the recital is required to perform. Accompanist fees, associated with the MTSA-scheduled rehearsal, are covered by the MTSA. If a student cannot attend the scheduled rehearsal date and time, the parent must schedule an alternate rehearsal directly with the accompanist. The parent is responsible for payment directly to the accompanist for this alternate rehearsal on or before the rehearsal date.
**Please note: By accepting the teacher's nomination, the student and parent agree to use the accompanist provided but the MTSA Honors Recital Committee, if a student's piece requires piano accompaniment. (Exception permitted only for students living out of state).**
*Reception will follow the recital.
